The Kapiti Coast is a beautiful coastline that has 40 kilometres of beaches, views of the Kapiti Island that will take your breath away. There is over 1000 kilometres of family friendly cycling and walking tracks.

Kapiti is famous for its world re-nowned bird sanctuary, Kapiti Island is one of the few reserves made accessible to visitors.

Lets not forget the finely crafted gourmet cheeses and ice creams that began in the Kapiti area!

When you visit Kapiti there is so much to do from walking, hiking to fishing.

The Coastal villages: Paekakariki, Raumati Beach, Paraparaumu, Peka Peka, Te Horo, Waikanae and Otaki all offer a relaxed friendly day out, weekend away or stop-off for travellers going both north and south. All the villages have a range of accommodation options, great cafés, beach-side shops, galleries and heritage museums for you to enjoy.
