Taking off and heading west you will fly abreast with Mount Arthur in the Western Ranges and see the walking track on the North Ridge of this popular recreation area. Fly north over the Takaka saddle and Harwood’s Hole ending up on the coast at Separation Point, the northern most point of the Abel Tasman National Park. Takaka and Farewell Spit are easily seen in the distance. Fly over Awaroa Bay before heading back to Nelson through the National Park. The mountain and coastal viewing is unforgettable.
